If the human heart is the engine that powers the body, then the brain is the central computer, controlling nearly every single aspect of the human body’s functions. This organ controls body movement, communication and the analysis and storage of information, among other functions. It is the most powerful organ in the human body, yet it weighs roughly only three pounds, or about 2% of the human body’s weight.
The human brain consists of a mix of gray matter (which makes up about 40% of the brain’s composition) and white matter (which makes up the remaining 60%). Both the brain and spinal cord are protected by a covering of dura matter, a tough membrane, and are surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid in order to cushion both from shock. The human brain can be broken down into three parts. The cerebrum, which takes up the vast majority of space in the skull cavity, handles memory, problem solving, thought and feeling. The cerebellum is located near the back of the skull and controls coordination and balance. The brain stem is located in front of the cerebellum and connects the cerebrum, along with the rest of the brain, to the spinal cord. Together, the brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system, which distributes electro-chemical signals along the nerves of the body that are translated to both voluntary movements and functions, as well as involuntary movements such as breathing, digestion and heart rate.

The words “motivation” and “success” are non tangible states concerned with perception, All animals on earth can have perceptions of motivation and success. Neural linguistic training or NLP training is concerned with the science of learning to use our brain. At NLP training Sydney, scientist are learning how we use our brain affects our motivation and success. Pavlov’s dog is a classic example of a documented experiment into motivation and success. Pavlov’s dog was “motivated” to ring a bell at the sight of food. He experienced “success” when he got that food. He was encouraged to repeat his “success” by the sight of food. Food then was the perceived motivation for Pavlov’s dog success to learn to ring the bell. Did Pavlov’s dog learn? By most definitions of learning, the answer is yes.
The term “success” is really a general one. Inductively we can trace the route that “success” follows in our perception. From success we go down to satisfaction. From satisfaction we go down to means. From means we go down to motivation. From motivation we go down to object.
In its most simple terms, an object is the source for motivation. If we possess the brain to figure out how to get that object, we find the means to getting it. If we use the means successfully and get that object, we experience satisfaction. That satisfaction then jumps to the hierarchy of our motivation for success.
If we never find the means to satisfy our efforts for an object, we drop it and change our wants. Motivation and success must be reciprocal or else we have a dysfunctional, unproductive organism that will eventually die.
